Grandparents Fight Back!

Grandparents Fight Back is a network of grandparents and friends of grandparents devoted to preserving America's democracy and decency. It was started in early February 2025 by two Brooklyn grandmothers who saw a need and urgent desire among Americans everywhere  for help in responding to the many unlawful, unconstitutional, dangerous and abhorrent actions of the Trump Administration that threaten our democracy, our national security and our values. They felt that an organization of grandparents and others in that demographic would appeal to the many activists of the Baby Boom generation and would be rightly perceived as genuinely concerned not for themselves, but for future generations of America and of the world.  As of mid-April, GFB has more than 200 members residing in 26 states and the District of Columbia. 

On regular basis, we:

• Notify our members about issues to call, email,or send letters to their elected representative
• Help draft the messages we want to deliver
• Alert members to upcoming events and actions they can take further ur goals

We may also ask volunteers from time to time to:

•  Write or call  local media 
• Help with research on particular issues
• Help identify local elected officials who could be helpful

This is Flag Day and Trump's birthday; he has called for a major military parade to mark it in Washington. We must fight back!
