Grandparents Fight Back!

Grandparents Fight Back is a network of grandparents and friends of grandparents devoted to preserving America's democracy and decency. It was started in early February 2025 by two Brooklyn grandmothers who saw a need and urgent desire among Americans everywhere  for help in responding to the many unlawful, unconstitutional, dangerous and abhorrent actions of the Trump Administration that threaten our democracy, our national security and our values. They felt that an organization of grandparents and others in that demographic would appeal to the many activists of the Baby Boom generation and would be rightly perceived as genuinely concerned not for themselves, but for future generations of America and of the world.  As of December, GFB has more than 225 members residing in 26 states and the District of Columbia. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors!

On regular basis, we:

• Notify our members about issues to call, email,or send letters to their elected representative
• In our bi-weekly letters to members, summarize the important developments of the prior week and recommend actions for the coming week
• From time to time, provide context and analysis for events and actions
• Alert members to upcoming events and actions they can take further ur goals

We may also ask volunteers from time to time to:

• Write or call  local media 
• Help with research on particular issues
• Help identify local elected officials who could be helpful
